Prayer for Peace
What is peace? What is war? What is getting along? What is our role in sharing the Earth?By asking various questions, children develop an inquiring mind, think on their own, and communicate their ideas. Children will express themselves through play, whether through words or creations, while engaging with their shared interests and environment during their kindergarten life.It is important for teachers and parents to support children’s exploration of different cultures and values through communication. By helping children foster a sense of international understanding and peace, we nurture the ability to build true peace. This year, Full Moon Ohno’s Peace Day will be held on August 9. This is the day of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki (Nagasaki Peace Day). We would like people to be aware of the fact that two atomic bombs were dropped on Japan. We will also hold a “Peace Concert” in the hall, using the peace piano.
Through these activities, children will learn about our history, the importance of peace, and learn to reflect on their own actions.
