子どもたちが「園に行きたい！」と思う気持ちは非常に大切です。その背後には、昨日の続きを楽しみたいという「こだわりの遊び」があるからです。PYP（Primary Years Programme）の学びでは、このような自主的な探究心や好奇心が重要視されています。子ども一人ひとりにそのようなこだわりがあることは、自分たちで生活を作り上げていく力になります。
今日も多くの場面でその姿を見ることができました。しっかりと遊んだ後は、おはなし会。体を動かした後、子どもたちは静かに耳を傾けます。PYPのアプローチに基づき、遊びを通じて学ぶことで、子どもたちはさまざまなスキルや知識を自然に身につけています。
A life with passion
Children feeling “I want to go to preschool!” is very important. The independent exploration that is a focus in the Primary Years Programme (PYP) encourages this. It encourages curiosity and commitment in each child which empowers them to create their own passions.
We were able to see this passion in many situations today. After a fun and energetic playtime, we had story time where children were engaged and listening. Using the PYP approach, children naturally acquire a variety of skills and knowledge by learning through various forms of play.
