子どもたちがよく知っているマクドナルドから、「ドナルド　マクドナルドさん」が来て下さることを知って、「いつかな？」と、ずっと楽しみに待っていました。ホールに集合してからしばらくして、階段下から誰かの声が・・・。
「もしかしてドナルドさんの声？」と、期待感があがりました。
どんどん声が近づいてきて、ドナルドさんの登場と共に大歓声！！
挨拶を交わし合ってすっかり仲良しになり、いよいよSafety教室が始まりました。
主な内容は、知らない人に声をかけられた時の大切な約束を教えていただくことでした。
“知らない人についていかない”　“知らない車にのらない”　“おおきな声を出す”　“すぐ逃げる”　“近くにいる人にしらせる”という、「い・か・の・お・す・し」です。
子どもたちに質問をしながらその答えをもとにどんどんお話が広げてくださり、始終、楽しい雰囲気のなか、安全について学ぶことができました。
その後も、体を動かしたりジャンケンゲームをしたりと楽しい時間が続きました。
最後はサインをいただきました。子どもたちに貴重な経験をさせてくださった、マクドナルド宮島口店の皆様とドナルドさんに感謝いたします。 

The children had been eagerly anticipating the visit of “Donald McDonald” from McDonald’s, a place they all know well, wondering, “When will he come?”
After gathering in the hall for a while, a voice came from down the stairs…
“Could that be Donald’s voice?” Their excitement grew.
The voice drew nearer and nearer, and as Donald appeared, a huge cheer erupted!!
After exchanging greetings and becoming fast friends, the Safety Class finally began.
The main focus was learning important promises to keep when approached by strangers.
“Don’t go with strangers” “Don’t get in strangers’ cars” “Shout loudly” “Run away immediately” “Tell someone nearby” – the “I-KA-NO-O-SU-SHI” rules.
He asked the children questions and used their answers to expand the discussion, keeping the atmosphere fun throughout as they learned about safety.
After that, the fun continued with physical activities and a rock-paper-scissors game.
Finally, they got his autograph.
We are grateful to everyone at McDonald’s Miyajimaguchi and Donald for giving the children this valuable experience.
