園バスに乗って廿日市市の佐伯にある中井さんの農場に行き、トウモロコシの苗を植えました。
たびたび中井さんの農場に行くことは難しいので、苗をいくつかいただき園の小さな畑に植えました。中井さんに園に来ていただき、トウモロコシが大きくなるために必要なことを質問したり考えたりしました。水やり・草抜きなどお世話をする事の大切さを学び、実践しています。園に植えたトウモロコシが順調に大きくなりましたよ。「早く食べたい！！」と、楽しみにしている子どもたちです。

We took the school bus to Mr. Nakai’s farm in Saeki, Hatsukaichi City, to plant corn seedlings.
Since it is difficult to visit Mr. Nakai’s farm often, we received some seedlings and planted them in a small field at the garden. Mr. Nakai came to the garden and we asked him questions and thought about what was necessary for the corn to grow. We learned the importance of taking care of the plants by watering, pulling weeds, etc., and we are practicing this. The corn we planted in the garden is growing well. I can’t wait to eat it! The children are looking forward to eating it.
