- 感謝祭（Thanksgiving）
昨年同様、地域の皆さんがお手伝いに来てくださいました。焼き芋は地元の農家からいただいた籾殻を使用し、ゆっくりと3時間かけて焼く方法です。煙突から立ち上る煙の光景も風情があります。
子どもたちはさつまいもの苗を自分で植え、収穫し、焼き芋が美味しくできるように新聞紙とアルミ箔で包んで籾殻の中へ。同時に、外国人講師が七面鳥の丸焼きを担当していました。
アメリカの感謝祭では七面鳥の丸焼きが伝統とされています。
ランチタイムには8キロの丸焼き七面鳥を全園児でいただき、おやつでは焼き芋を食べました。
この日は日頃の感謝の気持ちを意識する特別な日となりました
Just like last year, members of the community came to help out. Yaki-imo is baked slowly over a period of three hours using rice husks provided by local farmers. The sight of smoke rising from the chimneys is also tasteful.
Children plant and harvest sweet potato seedlings by themselves, wrap them in newspaper and aluminum foil and put them in the rice husks so that the yaki-imo will be delicious. At the same time, a foreign teacher was in charge of roasting a whole turkey.
Roasting a whole turkey is considered a tradition on Thanksgiving Day in the United States.
